About

Why this site?
I've noticed that there are not a lot of simple Christian resources available on the Internet.  Specifically, something is lacking that is easy to understand, and which walks people through the bible from start to finish.

There are plenty of apps and websites which will take a reader through a bible reading plan, but these plans are still inaccessible for many because they expect too much reading and not enough quality contemplation.

My goal with this site is to provide a single scripture or small passage and a couple of points of reflection - one entry for every day of the year (including leap years).  My hope in this is to develop a resource that is:
  • easy to engage with
  • a good model for how to interpret the bible
  • able to communicate some of the important themes and theology

Who is the writer?
My name is Sam Hight.  I'm a husband, a father, and an amateur writer.  You can check out who I am via my Google+ profile or Twitter, and you can read more of my writings about God at my other Christian websites: See the Spirit, Apologetics Shorts, and my Bible Studies blog.

I also have several other sites.  These don't deliberately aim for Christian content but are still strongly influenced by my faith.  A few great ideas is for interesting and far-reaching ideas I give away.  Sam Books and Thoughts is for all sorts of everything.  The Physics Lounge is where I share free high school physics videos.  igage is a blog where I reflect upon teaching and education.  Learn to be a Real Man is self explanatory.

If you want to get in touch with me, for feedback purposes, to share a testimony, or whatever else, I would love to hear from you.  You can email me (via the contact page) or you can touch base via any of the social networks I frequent.

May God bless your use of my humble writings.  To him be the glory!

Sam
